Refund Policy

Fair, transparent and written in plain language.

This policy sets out how refunds and cancellations are handled across Outliers Professionals Ltd services. Our default position is to be reasonable — because long-term trust matters more than short-term revenue.

Subscription services (Professional & Enterprise)

Current position: Subscription billing is not yet active. This section is published in advance so you know exactly what to expect when it launches.

Free trial: The Professional tier includes a 14-day free trial. You can cancel anytime during the trial and you will not be charged. After the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically unless cancelled.

Monthly subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are provided, but you retain full access for the period already paid.

Annual subscriptions: You may cancel anytime. If you cancel within 14 days of the annual charge, you are eligible for a full refund provided you have not accessed premium content extensively during that period. After 14 days, no refund is due but you retain access until the end of the annual term.

Enterprise subscriptions: These are governed by the specific engagement letter or order form signed with Outliers Professionals. Where no special terms apply, the annual policy above is the default.

Advisory & consulting engagements

Advisory engagements are scoped and priced on a project or retainer basis before work begins. A signed engagement letter defines the scope, deliverables, fees and payment schedule.

Engagement cancellation by client: If you cancel before work has commenced, any deposit paid is refunded in full minus a 5% administrative fee to cover processing costs. If work has commenced, fees are refunded on a pro-rata basis for unstarted phases, minus the administrative fee.

Engagement cancellation by Outliers: If we determine we cannot fulfil the engagement (e.g. conflict of interest, capacity constraints, or scope beyond our expertise), all fees paid are refunded in full with no administrative deduction.

Dispute resolution: Disputes are first addressed through direct senior consultant dialogue. Unresolved disputes may proceed to mediation under the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) rules before any litigation.

Digital downloads, publications & assessments

Digital products — including reports, guides, assessment tools and downloadable templates — are delivered immediately upon payment or account verification.

Refunds: Because digital content cannot be returned, refunds are only available where the file is demonstrably corrupted, the wrong product was delivered, or the product description was materially inaccurate. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase.

Assessments: Once an assessment has been started, it is considered consumed. No refund is available for completed or partially completed assessments. If a technical failure prevents completion, we will reset your access or provide an alternative at no extra charge.

Cancellation process

For subscription cancellations: visit your Account → Billing page and select Cancel, or email billing@outlierspro.com.

For engagement cancellations: contact your assigned senior consultant or email info@outlierspro.com with your engagement reference.

Refund processing time: 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer refunds may take longer depending on your institution.

Billing disputes

If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 30 days of the charge date. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. If the charge is confirmed to be an error, we will refund the full amount plus any associated bank charges.

Repeated chargebacks without first contacting us may result in account suspension and removal of access to all premium services.
