Outliers Professionals Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, our advisory engagements, assessments, dashboards and digital products. We process data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) regulations.
Name, work email, phone, company, role, and the contents of any enquiry, brief or document you submit. We also collect technical data (IP address, device, browser, pages visited) via cookies — see our Cookie Policy.
When you complete an assessment (e.g. tax health check, compliance scorecard), we store your responses, the calculated score, and any recommendations generated. Assessment data is linked to your account if you are signed in, or retained as an anonymous session if you are not. We use this data to improve our scoring models and to personalise follow-up advisory content. Assessment results are not shared with third parties.
Authenticated users who access dashboards (CEO, CFO, Board, Investor, SME, Treasury) generate usage data including views, filters applied, exports downloaded and time spent. This data is used to improve dashboard relevance, detect performance issues, and recommend related intelligence content. Dashboard data is never sold or shared externally.
When you subscribe to The Outlier Brief or other newsletters, we collect your email address, name and optional preferences. Consent is recorded with a timestamp and IP address. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 24 hours. Newsletter subscriber lists are not shared with advertisers or third-party marketers.
Downloading reports, guides, templates or calculators requires an email address. Download records (file, timestamp, email) are retained to enforce download limits, deliver updates if the resource is revised, and measure content performance. Downloaders may receive a single follow-up email with related content unless they opt out.
Consultation requests, deep-analysis enquiries, proposal requests and briefing bookings collect contact details, company information, and the substance of your request. This data is stored in our revenue operations pipeline and shared only with the senior consultant or team member assigned to respond. Lead data is retained for 24 months unless an engagement is signed, in which case it becomes part of the engagement record (7 years).
We use anonymised analytics to understand how visitors navigate the site, which content is most useful, and where friction occurs. Analytics data is aggregated and cannot reasonably be used to identify you personally. We do not use analytics for automated profiling or advertising targeting.
We use essential, functional, performance and marketing cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. You can manage preferences via the cookie banner. Essential cookies cannot be disabled because they are required for security and core site functionality.
We rely on (i) your consent for marketing communications and lead-magnet downloads, (ii) the performance of a contract for engagement work, (iii) legal obligation for ICAN, CITN, FRC and AML record-keeping, and (iv) legitimate interest for security, analytics and service improvement.
We share data only with vetted sub-processors (e.g. cloud, email infrastructure), regulators where required, and never with third-party advertisers. International transfers use NDPC-approved safeguards.
Enquiry and lead data: 24 months. Engagement records: 7 years (ICAN/FRC requirement) or longer where law requires. Marketing data: until you withdraw consent. Assessment and dashboard usage data: 36 months, then anonymised. Analytics logs: 26 months.
